Our Founder & CEO: Dean Ward
PropSmarts was founded by Dean Ward, an experienced property development professional with over 25 years of first-hand experience of how slow, fragmented, and inefficient the property development process can be.

After years of working in the industry, Dean repeatedly faced the same challenges: vital data spread across multiple sources, time-consuming feasibility work, and decisions delayed by manual research. Opportunities were being missed, not because sites lacked potential, but because understanding that potential took too long.

Dean set up PropSmarts in 2020 to change that. His goal was to build a single platform that gives professionals immediate access to the information they actually need: sales data, market insight, demographics, and financial clarity, without the usual complexity.
​
Today, Dean continues to lead PropSmarts with a clear focus: helping the industry move faster, reduce risk, and make confident, well-informed decisions. His aim is simple, to remove unnecessary friction from property development and replace it with clarity, efficiency, and smarter insight.

Dean lives in Swansea with his family and is an ex rugby player who now coaches the local youth teams. He is also Chair of the South Wales Regional Learning and Skills Partnership and speaks regularly at events around the world.
